Stagecoach Performing Arts Salford

Laura Walker wants to share some exciting updates from Stagecoach Salford with the sports community. She recently organised an event where children had a rare chance to work alongside professional singers, dancers, and musicians. It was a unique opportunity for the young performers to experience what it's like to be on a professional stage, and the experience was a resounding success for everyone involved.

At Stagecoach Salford, Laura leads a range of weekly drama, dance, and singing classes for children aged 4-18. These classes are designed to help kids build confidence, improve physical awareness, and develop communication skills, all while having a great time and making new friends.

The teaching team at Stagecoach Salford, headed by Laura, is dedicated and experienced in the performing arts. Thanks to their guidance, many students who train with them for several years go on to professional careers in musical theatre or the arts, while others simply benefit from the confidence and positive relationships formed during their time at Stagecoach.

In addition to weekly classes, Laura also organises holiday workshops where children can dive deep into the performing arts, exploring their creativity and gaining new skills. Each term, students have the chance to take LAMDA examinations in acting, verse and prose, and musical theatre, boasting a 100% pass rate.

Laura is particularly proud of the opportunities Stagecoach Salford students have had to perform at prestigious events and venues like Her Majesty's Theatre in London, Alton Towers, the Victoria Theatre in Halifax, and The Lowry in Salford. A highlight was their participation in a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest simultaneous performance of one show, which they achieved!
