Welcome to Stage Door Studio Theatre Workshop, based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. It's been a bustling hub for performing arts since May 2000, all thanks to Anne Redfern and Janet Fletcher. They've set out to spark creativity, build communication skills, and most importantly, ensure everyone has a good time exploring theatrical arts.
Anne and Janet keep things straightforward but strive for high standards in everything they do. Their inclusive approach means anyone aged 5 and above, including adults, can join. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm, with an open-door policy that makes it easy to get involved. They believe a blend of discipline and motivation leads to great results.
Stage Door isn’t just about putting on shows, though they do stage some cracking musicals each year. They've also raised a tidy sum for various charities. It's all about bringing folks from different walks of life together for a bit of fun and skill-building that can be life-changing.
Child protection is top of the list. There’s a solid child protection policy in place, with top-notch welfare procedures to keep everyone safe. Communications are handled with confidence and care, and all the necessary licences for kids in shows are sorted with local education welfare authorities.
