Welcome to Starsteps Dance School! Located in Smethwick/Bearwood, West Midlands, our friendly theatre style dance school offers a wide range of dance classes for children of all ages and abilities. Whether your child is just starting out or has previous experience, they will find a class that suits them at Starsteps.
At Starsteps, we believe in providing a well-rounded dance education, which is why we offer a variety of dance styles including Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Musical Theatre, and Acrobatic Arts acro dance. All of our lessons are run by Kate and Lucy, both qualified and accredited teachers of Associated Board of Dance (ABD) and Acrobatic Arts. Miss Kate is also certified in Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and we hold a Groove Child licence.
Our Introduction to Dance classes are designed for children as young as 3 years old, giving them a fun and engaging introduction to the world of dance. As children progress, they have the opportunity to join our non-graded classes where they can explore their passion for dance without the pressure of exams.
We understand that every child is unique, which is why we offer a 2-week trial for just 8. 50. This allows your child to try out different classes and find the one that they enjoy the most. Limited spaces are available, so be sure to register on our website to secure your child's place.
Throughout the year, our dancers have exciting opportunities to showcase their talent. We organise shows and performances where students can demonstrate their progress and entertain their families and friends. For those who wish to take their dance journey further, we also offer exams through the Associated Board of Dance, allowing students to receive recognition for their hard work and dedication.
In addition to our regular classes and performances, we also host summer schools and events to keep our students engaged and motivated. These special programmes provide a chance for dancers to learn from guest teachers and explore new dance styles.
