Steven McLaren Martial Arts (SMMA) is a reputable martial arts club located in Helensburgh, NZ. With over 20 years of experience in coaching martial arts and combat sports, including training the Taekwondo Scotland team, SMMA is the perfect place to begin your martial arts journey.
At SMMA, we offer classes in Taekwondo, Kickboxing, and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu for both adults and kids aged 3 and up. Whether you are a complete beginner or have years of experience, we have classes tailored to suit all abilities.
We pride ourselves on being a family-friendly club that welcomes everyone. From the young to the young at heart, our classes cater to all ages. We believe that martial arts is for everyone and encourage people of all backgrounds to join us on the mat.

Our club has two convenient locations in Helensburgh and Glasgow East. In Helensburgh, we offer classes at Helensburgh Parish Church and Hermitage Academy. In Glasgow East, we have classes at Easterhouse Sports Centre. We aim to provide easily accessible classes to accommodate our members.
