Initially named the “North Shore Lawn Tennis Club,” the club started with a single court situated on the southeast corner of the cricket ground. Since its reformation in the 1930s, Stockton Tennis Club has undergone several changes while maintaining its strong core values of serving its members and providing them with one of the best locations to play tennis in the Newcastle area, and even the entire East Coast of Australia.

In addition to its regular tennis activities, Stockton Tennis Club hosts various social functions, such as registration days and adult tennis lessons.
