Stone Pilates is a small state-of-the-art boutique reformer studio located in Lower Bourne, Farnham. With careful guidance, exercises are selected and modified to help individuals achieve their unique fitness goals. The studio provides a welcoming and supportive environment where clients can take the first steps to becoming a stronger, more balanced version of themselves, from the inside out.
At Stone Pilates, clients can enjoy a variety of classes, including reformer Pilates classes. Pilates is a form of exercise that targets the deep postural muscles, building strength from within and rebalancing the body to bring it into correct alignment. The studio offers three types of group classes, with a maximum of three participants per class.
The Signature Reformer class is a beginner's class suitable for all levels of ability. It focuses on the basic principles of Pilates and helps build a strong foundation. This class is perfect for those who are new to Pilates and want to establish a solid understanding of the practise.
For individuals looking for a more challenge and pace, the Level up Reformer class is designed for intermediate participants. It is recommended for those who have attended at least five Signature classes or have been invited to join. However, this class is not suitable for beginners or individuals with injuries.
Stone Pilates also offers a unique Jump Reformer class, designed to get the heart rate up between core-building Pilates exercises. This class incorporates intervals of jumping using the jumpboard, helping clients burn calories and build cardiovascular endurance. It is a low-impact, high-energy, and fun class that strengthens fast twitch muscles without compression, improving speed, agility, and power. It is important to note that this class is not suitable for clients recovering from injuries or pregnancy.
In addition to group classes, Stone Pilates also offers private 1:1 sessions. These sessions provide the highest level of supervision and guidance, resulting in faster results. Using the reformer equipment, these sessions offer challenge, progressive resistance, and support to the Pilates repertoire. Private sessions are ideal for individuals who prefer a tailored approach and want to focus on their specific body and fitness needs.
Whether you are new to Pilates or a seasoned practitioner, booking a private session can provide invaluable insights and help enhance your practise. These sessions are held by appointment only and last 60 minutes.
For those who prefer to exercise with a partner, Stone Pilates offers duet 2:1 sessions. These sessions allow clients to work together in a personalised session, sharing the benefits of a private session while reducing costs.
Stone Pilates offers various rate options for both group and private sessions. Single class drop-ins are available for those who prefer flexibility, while block options are available for clients who want to commit to regular Pilates practise. The block rates are valid for different periods, ranging from 8 weeks to 6 months, depending on the number of classes chosen.
