Storm Gymnastics Club is a well-established and highly regarded gymnastics club located in Paisley, Glasgow, and East Dunbartonshire. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Storm Gymnastics has evolved into one of the best community clubs in the area. The club recently became Storm Gymnastics CIC, further solidifying its commitment to serving the community.
The club's journey began in 1999 with its first-ever class held in Kirkintilloch Scout hall. Back then, only a few gymnasts attended the sessions. However, with a strong focus on providing high-quality coaching and creating a safe and inclusive environment, Storm Gymnastics has grown into one of the top clubs in Scotland.
Recognition for the club's excellence came in the form of the penultimate Achievement Award at the Sports Person of the Year awards. This prestigious award has been shared by sporting legends such as Dame Kelly Holmes and Sir Andy Murray. Storm Gymnastics takes great pride in this recognition and strives to maintain its exceptional standards.
Storm Gymnastics is proud to offer gymnastics opportunities to children as young as 1 year old. With locations in Paisley, Robroyston, and Auchinairn, the club aims to cater to gymnasts of all ages and abilities. Whether a child is looking to have fun with friends or dreams of becoming a future star and joining the club's list of Scottish Champions, Storm Gymnastics has something for everyone.
Safety is a top priority at Storm Gymnastics. The club ensures that all classes are conducted in a safe and controlled environment. Additionally, the club believes in inclusivity, offering classes that are open to children irrespective of their age, gender, ability, or social background. Storm Gymnastics values diversity and strives to provide a positive and supportive atmosphere for all children.
Membership is a requirement to participate in Storm Gymnastics classes. The club offers two membership types: Storm Gymnastics CIC Membership and Scottish Gymnastics Membership. The Storm Gymnastics CIC Membership, which costs 15, is required for all gymnasts and includes a free t-shirt. This one-off annual payment is to be made in January at the Auchinairn Venue or in August at the Paisley and Robroyston Venues.
Scottish Gymnastics Membership is also mandatory for all children participating in gymnastics in Scotland.
Storm Gymnastics aims to make gymnastics accessible to everyone and believes in the power of the sport to transform lives. The club's dedicated coaches are committed to helping gymnasts of all ages and abilities achieve their dreams. Whether a child is just starting out or is already a seasoned gymnast, Storm Gymnastics provides the guidance and support needed to excel in the sport.
