The owner of Strathmore Physiotherapy & Pilates, Ashley Metcalfe, has a deep passion for injury management and the human body. With years of personal experience as a patient in his uncle's physiotherapy clinic, Ashley developed a keen interest in the field and pursued a career in physiotherapy. He completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree at LaTrobe University in 2000 and gained valuable experience working in both hospital and private practise settings across Melbourne.

In 2007, Ashley opened Strathmore Physiotherapy & Pilates with the aim of providing clients with the best and latest research-based physiotherapy and clinical pilates treatments available. He is skilled in treating a multitude of musculoskeletal and sporting conditions through “hands-on” techniques and clinically based exercise programmes, particularly clinical pilates. To stay at the forefront of his field, Ashley regularly updates his knowledge through further studies in musculoskeletal, spinal, and sports treatment, as well as various specialised techniques such as dry needling, clinical neurodynamics, Ridgeway Method treatment, and running mechanics. He has also completed comprehensive Dance Medicine Australia (DMA) Clinical Pilates training from Levels 1 to 4.

Ashley is highly involved in the local community and has served as the chief physiotherapist for the Strathmore Football Club in the Essendon District Football.
