Welcome to Streamline Swim Academy, a leading swimming school in Bath offering lessons for children (from 2. 5 years old) and adults. Whether you're a non-swimmer or an advanced level swimmer, we have classes suited to your needs. We operate across various venues in Bristol, Bath, and North Somerset.

At Streamline Swim Academy, we believe that swimming can be learned through structured and planned lessons led by friendly and caring teachers. Our philosophy centres around teaching good stroke technique, allowing individuals to swim with minimal effort and achieve maximum results. We recognise that swimming is not only a life-saving skill but also a source of enjoyment in other water sports.

All our swimming teachers are fully qualified, with relevant rescue tests and child protection certifications. They also undergo DBS checks. Our dedicated and enthusiastic teachers are well-organised and approachable, creating a friendly and caring environment for learning.

Our swimming lessons focus on structured instruction in stroke technique, complemented by contrasting activities that incorporate an element of fun. We understand that every child learns uniquely, and our small class sizes enable our teachers to tailor lessons to individual needs, ensuring the best outcomes for each child. In the initial stages, our teachers work in the water with the pupils until they have mastered basic leg kicks, arm movements, and breathing techniques in all strokes. These classes have a maximum of 4–5 pupils per group.

As the pupils progress, they transition to groups of 6–8 students with a teacher on the poolside.

At Streamline Swim Academy, we operate a badge system based on continuous development. Certificates are awarded at the end of each term, listing the tasks a child has mastered. We also provide distance awards to pupils who demonstrate sustained stroke ability for a specified distance. If a teacher observes significant progress during the term, we proactively seek to move the pupil to a more suitable class without waiting until the end of term.

For children aged 2. 5 years to school age, we offer pre-school swimming lessons on Friday lunchtimes and Saturdays. These classes have either 2 or 3 pupils, with a teacher or a teacher and an assistant in the water with them. Parents remain on the poolside and do not enter the water.

Our swimming classes for school-age children and adults are divided into 8 different levels of achievement, catering to non-swimmers to advanced swimmers. We also offer personalised swim fitness plans for advanced swimmers, focusing on technique and stamina improvement. Additionally, we provide one-to-one and two-to-one swimming lessons in Bristol and Bath on specific days.
