Newcastle Aquatic Physiotherapy invites you to join their upcoming Swimming event – Strength and Balance. This event is perfect for individuals who are interested in enhancing their core strength, balance, and overall well-being.
The Strength and Balance class is a 45-minute group session that concentrates on Pilates-style exercises, targeting specific areas of weakness. What sets this class apart is its individualised approach, allowing participants to tailor their workout according to their personal goals. Throughout the class, a variety of exercises will be conducted in different positions, including standing, sitting, and lying. To aid in the exercises, equipment such as Swiss Balls and Magic Circles will be utilised.
In this class, emphasis is placed on slow, controlled movements, breath awareness, and coordination. The aim is to not only strengthen your core but also improve overall balance and coordination. Prior to attending the classes, an initial assessment will be conducted to evaluate your needs and set achievable goals. This ensures that each participant receives the personalised attention they require to progress effectively.
You'll have two class options to choose from each week. On Tuesdays, you can join the class at 5 pm, and on Fridays, at 11 am. It's important to note that starting from Monday 25th October, our face-to-face sessions will be exclusively available for double-dose vaccinated individuals and those with a valid medical exemption.
