Studio Dance Australia (SDA) is a renowned dance school located in Kellyville, offering a wide range of dance and performing arts classes to children and young people. The school was established in February 2009 by Christa Tate (nee Anthony) with the vision of sharing her joy of dance in a safe and welcoming environment.
Originally operating in a local school hall, SDA quickly gained recognition and moved to its current premises in Kings Park in October 2010. This allowed the school to expand and offer more classes, transforming from a traditional dance studio to a full-fledged Performing Arts Studio. SDA now serves not only Kellyville but also the surrounding suburbs of Blacktown, Quakers Hill, Kings Langley, Marayong, Stanhope Gardens, Seven Hills, and The Ponds.
SDA offers a wide variety of classes, including Ballet (Contemporary/Lyrical), Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Breakdance, Singing, Drama, Musical Theatre, Special Needs Jazz, Adults Jazz, Adults Tap, and a Performance Team. The school believes in a holistic approach, prioritising the overall well-being of students and helping them grow into responsible young adults. Performing Arts is seen as a valuable contributor to a well-rounded education, fostering self-esteem and confidence in all areas of life.
SDA is committed to providing quality tuition at an affordable cost, allowing students to be creative and have fun. The school holds various performing arts qualifications, affiliations, and registrations, including the Acrobatic Dance Association, Australasian Dance Australia, Australian Guild of Music Education, Australian Teachers of Dancing, British Ballet Organisation, Glenn Wood Tap, and State Dance Association. Additionally, SDA is a member of Audance NSW and World Dance Alliance Asia Pacific. The school also ensures the necessary insurances for both students and teachers through Dancesurance.
The success of SDA is credited to its exceptional team. The dedicated teachers at SDA are committed to providing the highest level of training to students. Their passion for dance and performing arts goes beyond just a job. Moreover, SDA boasts a team of student teachers who serve as excellent role models, learning from their mentors while assisting in classes.
Under the guidance of Director Miss Christa, SDA has mentored students to achieve exceptional results in various dance and performing arts examinations, competitions, and showcases. The school values the importance of nurturing talent, instilling discipline, and fostering a love for the arts.
