Sub C Divers

Sub C Divers is a diving club located in Manchester, New Zealand. As a branch of BS-AC, Sub C Divers offers a range of diver training courses suitable for individuals of all abilities, from complete beginners to experienced divers.

The club takes pride in teaching individuals how to scuba dive, providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to safely explore the underwater world. The club meets every Wednesday at Howe Bridge Leisure Centre in Atherton, Greater Manchester. During these meetings, lectures are conducted by the club's instructors, providing further education and knowledge sharing about scuba diving. Following the lectures, the club members have exclusive access to the pool for training purposes.

Sub C Divers boasts a strong and experienced membership, with the club recently celebrating its 40th anniversary. They welcome divers from all training agencies who can dive within their current qualification limits or convert to BS-AC and continue their training with the club. The club also owns a Rigid-Inflatable Boat (RIB) known as Sub-C-One, which can accommodate up to 6 divers and a Cox. The RIB is well-equipped with GPS, depth sounder, ship to shore radio, oxygen cylinder, and first aid kit.

Qualified club members can use the RIB for inshore diving.

For those new to diving, the club offers equipment hire, ensuring that individuals have access to the necessary gear during their training. Safety, rescue, and training equipment are all available and regularly serviced to meet legal requirements.

Sub C Divers is organised by a committee that ensures the club remains friendly, interesting, and safe. Various social and fundraising events are organised by club members, providing opportunities for divers to connect and enjoy camaraderie outside the water. Dive trips are also frequently organised, with destinations including Manado, The Maldives, Thailand, The Red Sea, and Malta.
