Sukata Judo & BJJ Academy, located in Ware, is a renowned martial arts club that offers expert instruction in Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). Established in 2012, the academy is fully accredited by the All England Judo Federation for Judo and affiliated with Gary Savage for BJJ.

The academy is led by Head Coach Dave Chastell, who has been training in Judo since the age of 12 and is a Black Belt in both Judo and BJJ. With a passion for teaching and competition, Dave has achieved great success as a 10-time All England Judo National Champion.

Classes are held at two locations. The adult class takes place at the Litlington Recreation Centre in Litlington, Royston, while the children's class, known as Kano Kids, is also held at the same location. The classes are taught by DBS checked, insured, qualified, and active competition black belts, ensuring a safe and professional learning environment.

In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, Sukata Judo & BJJ Academy takes the safety of their students and instructors very seriously. Head Coach Dave Chastell has completed and passed the COVID-19 and Safety in Martial Arts Course, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining a safe training environment.
