Somerville Hockey Club is gearing up to kick off an exciting social Summer Hockey Competition at the AGS turf. It's the perfect opportunity for players of all ages and skill levels to get involved in some hockey action. Whether you're new to the sport or just looking to stay active during the off-season, round up your buddies and get in on the fun.
The competition runs for a total of 13 weeks, starting on Tuesday, 24th October, and wrapping up on Thursday, 22nd February. With 8 weeks of play before a break and then 5 weeks to finish strong, there's plenty of hockey to keep you busy. Game times are set from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
There are different grades available for teams to participate in, catering to everyone from casual players to those seeking a bit more competition. Each team must have a minimum of 2 male and 2 female players on the field, so gather your friends and put together a mixed team ready to take on the challenge.
To get your team registered, shoot an email over to somervillesummerhockey@gmail.com. The registration fee is $960 per team, with limited spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Secure your spot by making sure the payment is confirmed. Remember, one team member needs to register through Play HQ before Michelle, our Summer Hockey Co-ordinator, will reach out to handle the details.
Payments can be made through direct credit to the SHC bank account, just be sure to include your team name and preferred playing night in the reference field. So mark your calendars and head on down to 3 Normanby Road, Mount Eden, Auckland 1024, the location of Auckland Grammar School Hockey Turf.
