The Female Boarder Collective at Cinema 5 Skatepark in Thunder Bay, ON is hosting free skateboarding lessons and mentoring sessions every Sunday morning from June to September. If the weather is on our side, you can find us at Marina Skatepark from 10:00am to 12:00pm. But don't worry, from September to May, we'll be shredding at Cinema 5 Skatepark with just a $5.00 donation.
We welcome all females, LGBTQIA+, including two spirited and non-binary individuals to come join us, regardless of your age or skill level. Need a board or helmet? No problem, we've got some extras you can borrow. Just make sure to wear a helmet and we recommend additional protective gear for your safety.
Our sessions kick off with warm-up activities and group lessons to get you comfortable on your board. Then, our amazing volunteers will provide one-on-one assistance to help you improve your skills. Whether you're a beginner or looking to perfect your tricks, we're here to support you every step of the way. Join us for a fun and empowering skateboarding experience at Cinema 5 Skatepark!
