Squad Training is an integral part of Sunnybank Sprinters' offerings, with four levels available: Stingray Squad, Mini Squad, Blue Squad, and Gold Squad. Each squad level focuses on specific objectives, allowing swimmers to progress and enhance their skills. From introductory sessions to advanced training programmes, Sunnybank Sprinters caters to swimmers of all levels.

Stingray Squad, the entry-level squad, comprises 45-minute sessions designed to introduce swimmers to stretching, warm-up exercises, strengthening exercises, endurance building, swimming drills, and correct starts, turns, and finishes as per FINA swimming rules.

Mini Squad sessions, lasting for 1 hour, aim to develop skills in Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly. These sessions also focus on conditioning, interval training sets, and teaching correct starts, turns, and finishes according to FINA rules.

For more advanced swimmers, Blue Squad offers 1 to 1. 5 hour training sessions, focusing on stroke techniques, racing skills, and components of fitness, such as aerobic and anaerobic capacity, speed, strength, and flexibility.

The highest level of training at Sunnybank Sprinters is the Gold Squad. These 1. 5 to 2 hour sessions are designed for senior swimmers and aim to develop individuals to their highest level possible. Gold Squad members are educated on nutrition, stretching, goal setting, competition, and good sportsmanship.

They also have the opportunity to participate in the gym programme conducted at Sunnybank.
