For young students, we provide more than just Karate skills. Our classes serve as a foundation for life and living, instilling important values such as confidence, courage, self-respect, self-esteem, respect for others, and self-expression. We teach our students to have respect for their parents, teachers, family members, school, fellow students, the Dojo, school property, and any other situation or person deserving of respect.
Our classes are suitable for individuals of all ages, sizes, and genders. Regardless of physical attributes, our rank requirements remain the same for everyone. We strive to help individuals become their best selves through the practise of Karate.
In our beginner's class, we separate newcomers from experienced students to create a relaxed environment for acclimation. Although they train in the same hall, beginners have their own space to become familiar with their new surroundings. Dedication, discipline, and respect are integral aspects of Karate training, and our classes provide valuable lessons on proper behaviour and manners.
As a club, we take pride in offering personalised instruction. With fully-qualified instructors on hand, we are able to provide one-to-one guidance for newcomers, ensuring they feel supported and comfortable in their training journey.
Sensei Procter, the founder of Sutemi Shukokai Karate Ryu, has been running clubs in the Bury and Radcliffe areas for over 35 years. His experience and dedication to Martial Arts have allowed him to introduce thousands of people to the discipline and its benefits.
