Lucy Thirsk, the founder of Sutton Park Pilates, has a remarkable story of her own journey into pilates. After facing a serious illness that stripped her of muscle definition and control, Lucy's physiotherapist recommended pilates as part of her rehabilitation. Despite initial misconceptions that pilates was only for older or unfit individuals, Lucy quickly realised its effectiveness and fell in love with the practise. Motivated by her own personal transformation, Lucy decided to become a pilates instructor herself.
Lucy is a highly qualified and experienced pilates instructor, having completed her REP Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor certification in 2010. Since then, she has actively pursued continuous education, attending various other courses to expand her knowledge and expertise. Some of her certifications include Polestar Pilates Comprehensive Equipment Instructor, Pilates for Women's Health Instructor, and Pink Ribbon Programme - Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist. Lucy's extensive qualifications and dedication to ongoing learning are evident in her teaching style, which focuses on guiding clients to reach their full potential while ensuring that they work within their limits.
