The history of Swallow Hall dates back to 1935 when Alf and Margaret Scutt rented the property as a farm from Alf's brother. In 1970, they purchased the farm from his daughter and continued farming livestock and crops until 1990. Seeking to diversify, they converted the old cow sheds into two holiday cottages and transformed the paddock into a 4-acre caravan and campsite. As a way to attract visitors to the accommodation, they opened a 9-hole golf course and driving range in 1991, expanding it to a total of 18 holes by 1992.
A clubhouse, The Swallow's Nest, was added in 1999 and later renamed The Roost. In 2006, an additional 9 holes were added, completing the two golf courses enjoyed today.
With 90 acres of beautifully maintained courses, Swallow Hall is a golfing haven for members and visitors alike.
