SWC Fitness is a physical fitness programme and fitness centre located in Stone, New Zealand. It is owned and operated by Shane Wilson-Coates, a dedicated fitness enthusiast and qualified coach. With a passion for high-intensity training, Shane started SWC Fitness in 2014 in order to create a space that supports both physical and mental well-being.
The fitness centre is situated at Unit 25, Emerald Way, Stone, ST15 0SR. It offers a variety of classes and training sessions to cater to different fitness levels and goals. The centrepiece of SWC Fitness is the Focused Intensity Training (F. I.
T) classes, which are based on scientifically proven methodologies. These classes combine various training techniques, including strength training, body conditioning, high-intensity interval training (H. I. I.
T), and functional fitness.
Unlike traditional fitness centres that heavily rely on machines, SWC Fitness emphasises a more traditional approach to training. The circuits in the classes use minimal machines and instead focus on utilising free weights, kettlebells, and bodyweight exercises. This approach allows participants to achieve their fitness goals, whether it be building strength, improving stamina, recovering from injuries, losing weight, or toning muscles.
The classes at SWC Fitness are suitable for individuals of all fitness levels, from beginners to athletes. All stations within the circuit can be adapted to accommodate different abilities. Participants as young as 13 years old are welcome to join any class.
In addition to classes, SWC Fitness also offers personal training options. Shane provides one-on-one training sessions, as well as small group sessions for up to eight people. These sessions are tailored to each individual's specific goals and objectives, whether it be weight loss, muscle gain, or focusing on a particular aspect of their training. As part of the personal training sessions, Shane also provides food tracking, nutritional advice, and measurements to support clients' progress.
SWC Fitness offers a variety of membership and pass options. Individual class passes are available for 5 per class, while multi-class passes are offered at 20 for 5 classes or 32 for 8 classes. For those looking for unlimited access to classes, SWC Fitness offers an unlimited classes membership for 45 per month on a 12-month contract.
Shane sees his role as a coach as a privilege and commits to giving his full dedication, energy, and knowledge to his fitness family. He takes personal responsibility for providing clients with all the tools they need to achieve their goals, and their success is his success. Over the years, Shane has witnessed his clients achieve what they once believed was impossible, whether it be completing a challenging station in class or accomplishing their first ever pull-up.
