The Carrathool Shire Council would like to inform interested players about a local Rugby League event taking place in the area. It's a great opportunity for players to showcase their skills and participate in an exciting competition.
To provide some background information, the Hillston and Goolgowi swimming pools are now open for the season. While the pools will operate unsupervised, there will be supervised hours on weekends and public holidays starting from 12:30 pm. So, players can enjoy a refreshing swim before or after the event.
For those interested in purchasing season passes, they can be obtained from the Hillston Council Office or Hillston Caravan Park and also from the Goolgowi Council Office or Goolgowi Pool during the supervised hours. Alternatively, single entry passes are available at the Hillston Caravan Park and Goolgowi Council Office during their office hours, or at the pool during the supervised hours.
It's important to note the operating hours for the Hillston and Goolgowi pools. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends, the pools will be open from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the pools will open from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. During weekends and public holidays, the pools will have supervised hours from 12:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
There are a few exceptions to these operating hours. On Thursdays during the school term, the pool will be closed for public access from 5:00 pm due to the Hillston Swim Club's activities. Furthermore, during school terms, there may be periods when the pool is unavailable to the public for swimming lessons. The specific dates and times for these periods will be advertised at the pool entrance.
Please be aware that Hillston Central School will be using the pool for School Sport on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during November and December 2023. However, the pool will still be open to the public during these times. The school will reserve up to 4 swim lanes in the large pool for their activities.
To ensure a smooth entry into the pool, here are the entry fees: Season Ticket – Family (including child up to 18 years & full-time students) costs $140.00, Season Ticket – Single costs $70.00, Entry Fee for those 19 years and over is $3.50, for ages 2 – 18 years is $2.00, while children under 2 years can enter for free. Seniors (over 55 years) and non-swimmers can enter for $2.00.
The pool season will run from 4th November 2023 to 30th March 2024. However, please keep an eye on the operating hours for specific days and times as there might be occasional short notice amendments. For a complete understanding of the conditions of entry and regulations, we encourage everyone to refer to the available documentation at the pool entrance.
We kindly remind all visitors that alcohol and glass are strictly prohibited in all areas of the pools and pool grounds. Failure to comply with the conditions of entry may result in the cancellation of your season pass. Please note that cancelled season passes due to breach of entry conditions will not be refunded.
Lastly, we'd like to let you know that Hillston also hosts a local swim club, which is held during school terms. Please check the swim club days to be aware of any limited pool access.
