Welcome to Swinhoe Farm Riding Centre, a BHS approved riding school, training centre, and livery yard located in the beautiful countryside of North Northumberland, near Belford. Situated on a 1750 acre farm, the centre offers breathtaking views of both the Cheviots and the coast overlooking Holy Island.
Founded in 2005 by Claire Nixon, a highly qualified coach with extensive experience and qualifications including UKCC Level 4 Coach and BHS Accredited Professional Coach (BHS SC), Swinhoe Farm Riding Centre is a small family business dedicated to providing exceptional equestrian facilities and services.
At Swinhoe Farm Riding Centre, we offer a range of training options for riders of all ages and abilities. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced rider looking to improve your skills, our team of qualified instructors will tailor lessons to suit your individual needs. We also offer group lessons, private lessons, and specialised sessions for children.
One of our standout features is our state-of-the-art indoor arena, which allows riders to train and ride regardless of the weather conditions. Grant assistance under the LEADER scheme and the hard work of our staff and volunteers made the construction of this 60 x 28-metre arena possible. It provides ample space for training and includes a viewing gallery for up to 136 spectators. Arena hire is available for up to three horses, and prices can be found on our website.
In addition to our training facilities, we also offer hacking opportunities for riders who want to explore the local area on horseback. Our hack dates will be made available as soon as possible, so keep an eye on our social media platforms for updates.
