Swinton FC is proud to have a strong presence in the community and is dedicated to promoting the development of young players both on and off the field. The club not only focuses on teaching football skills, but also on instilling values such as teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.

Swinton FC offers coaching for children between the ages of 4 and 17 years old and has a dedicated team of over 30 volunteers. These volunteers play various roles within the club, including managers, coaches, first-aiders, fundraisers, and committee members. Many parents also contribute their time and support to ensure the smooth running of the club. The managers and coaches at Swinton FC hold certifications ranging from the FA Level 1 to the UEFA A Licence, ensuring that players receive quality coaching.

The club is committed to providing a safe and sociable environment for children and their families to participate in football training sessions, matches, and social functions. Swinton FC is continuously working on improving its facilities and expanding its teams. The club is currently undergoing changes and recruitment initiatives to accommodate both boys and girls and to develop their Barton Road facilities. In order to prioritise the safety and well-being of the children, the club enforces a strict no dogs allowed policy from September 14th.

Swinton Football Club was established in 1992 by former Chairman Tom Holmes and his friend Mike Carroll. Starting with just one team, the club operated out of a small porta-cabin located on grass at the side of Springwood Primary School.

Over the years, Swinton FC has grown significantly, with more children from the local community expressing interest in playing grassroots football. Today, the club has multiple teams participating in various leagues including Altringham, Bolton & Bury, Salford, Timperley, and Tameside.
