Welcome to Tableland Freestyle Taekwon-do, a renowned and highly respected taekwon-do school located in Atherton, Queensland. Led by experienced instructors Annette and Frans Schep, along with a team of dedicated assistant instructors, our school offers top-notch training to individuals of all ages and skill levels.

Annette Schep, the owner and head instructor of Tableland Freestyle Taekwon-do, has been passionate about this captivating martial art for several decades. With her vast experience and comprehensive knowledge, she has earned the reputation of being one of the finest taekwon-do instructors in Atherton. Annette achieved the esteemed rank of 4th Dan Black Belt in November 2019, solidifying her expertise in the art. Frans Schep has been assisting Annette for over 36 years, providing valuable support and guidance to the students.

At Tableland Freestyle Taekwon-do, we take pride in our team of assistant instructors, five of whom hold a 2nd Dan Black Belt, a distinction that requires a minimum of nine years of dedicated training. These assistant instructors lend their expertise and offer personalised advice during classes. Additionally, all of our instructors possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in taekwon-do and hold 1st Dan Black Belts or above.

Participating in taekwon-do classes at Tableland Freestyle Taekwon-do offers an array of benefits for people of all ages. We believe that taekwon-do promotes strength, flexibility, and overall fitness, which are achieved through regular training sessions. Our classes also provide a social platform to meet new friends and develop social skills.

Convenience is paramount at Tableland Freestyle Taekwon-do. We offer two class times each week, held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Merriland Hall, Atherton Showgrounds. These classes are open to individuals aged 9 and above, as we strongly believe that taekwon-do is a rewarding experience for people of all ages. Our aim is to make the learning process enjoyable and fulfilling for students as they progress towards achieving a Black Belt, a journey that usually takes around 4 to 5 years of consistent training.

Whether you are a beginner or have prior experience in taekwon-do, we welcome you to join our classes.
