Established on January 15, 1938, by the Rt. Hon'ble Victor Alexander Hope, the course has grown from its modest beginnings into one of India's premier golfing destinations. With a course designed by the legendary Peter Thompson, TNGF offers a perfect blend of tradition and modernity that appeals to golf enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels.

The sprawling 6,225-yard, par-72 course is a picturesque green expanse, meticulously maintained to provide a challenging yet satisfying experience for every golfer. The unique layout, which includes dual tees and newly introduced larger greens and additional bunkers, caters to the diverse needs of our vibrant, multi-ethnic community of golfers. These enhancements, coupled with an advanced drainage system, ensure that the course remains in top condition, even during the heaviest rains, making every round a pleasure regardless of the weather.

Community and camaraderie are at the heart of TNGF. Each year, the club hosts over 20 tournaments, including the prestigious Chennai Open Golf Championship.
