Join Quicksteps, the local Quickstep club in Adelaide, for an exciting Tango Dance Lessons event! Tango is a dance style that is known for its drama, style, and passion. Not only is Tango a beautiful and captivating dance, but it also offers a range of benefits for both physical and mental health. Whether you're a beginner or have some dance experience, Tango is accessible to everyone.
At Quicksteps, they offer a variety of classes to suit your needs. You can start with a free trial lesson and participate in free group classes. If you're new to Tango, Ballroom Tango is a great place to start. It consists of simple step patterns like walking forward, backwards, and sideways, with consistent timing that is easy to hear. It's perfect for beginners! Once you feel comfortable with Ballroom Tango, you can challenge yourself with Argentine Tango. This style requires more intricate foot and leg movements, as well as communication with your partner to interpret timing changes.
One of the great things about Tango Dance Lessons is that you don't need a partner to join. In fact, around 60% of their members come without a partner. During group lessons, they have a system where participants can easily rotate partners. However, if you prefer to stay with your partner, that's totally fine too. Quicksteps also offers private lessons, where you can focus on your individual skills and learn the dramatic styling that Tango deserves.
Learning Tango is a journey that requires time, patience, and practice. If you attend 1 private class and 1 group class per week for 1–2 months, beginners can start using basic Tango steps to move around the social floor. Mastery of Tango, however, takes several years of dedication. After 6 months of learning Ballroom Tango, you'll feel comfortable dancing to the music, executing fancy step patterns, and changing directions. After 1–2 years of Ballroom Tango, you'll be able to dance effortlessly with good technique and styling, and you'll be ready to explore Argentine Tango.
In Tango, communication on the dance floor happens through the lead and follow technique. This technique allows dancers to freestyle to the music without a set pattern of steps. The leader communicates the next step to the follower through small body, arm, and hand movements known as 'leads.' The follower interprets the lead and executes the next movement in sync with the leader. It may sound challenging, but with practice, it becomes easier.
Join Quicksteps for Tango Dance Lessons and experience the numerous benefits that Tango dancing has to offer. Not only will you enjoy the joy and self-expression that Tango brings, but you'll also improve your health and fitness, both mentally and physically. Don't miss out on this wonderful dance journey!
