Experience the thrill of the Tarawera Ultramarathon, New Zealand's most prestigious trail ultra event. Participants at Kawerau Tennis & Netball Courts can choose from distances of 102km, 87km, or 62km, or take part in relays. The course winds through the stunning landscapes of Kawerau to Rotorua in the Bay of Plenty, showcasing five lakes, lush forests, majestic waterfalls, and breathtaking scenery.
This event is not just a race; it's a journey through areas of deep cultural significance to the local Maori people. With around 1400 participants, including over 700 international athletes, competition is fierce among the world's best trail ultra runners.
