The rules and conditions established by the Taree Eisteddfod Society are designed to ensure a fair and competitive environment. All sections of the Eisteddfod are open to amateurs only, with teachers falling under specific criteria for the purpose of participation. The Committee reserves the right to cancel any solo section with fewer than three entries, but competitors may be placed in the next age group or receive a refund.
The Committee also reserves the right to refuse any entry, make amendments to the programme, and appoint substitute adjudicators if necessary. Proof of age may be required from competitors, and the Committee has the authority to withhold prizes or trophies until such proof is provided.
To maintain fairness and integrity, competitors who have been taught, coached, or advised by an adjudicator in the six months preceding the opening date of the Eisteddfod may not compete in sections judged by that same adjudicator. During performances, parents, and teachers are not allowed on stage except as required accompanists, conductors, or page turners. No prompting or assistance is permitted during performances except at the request of the adjudicator.
Taree Eisteddfod Society encourages respectful conduct among competitors, teachers, and interested parties. Communication with adjudicators during competitions is strictly forbidden, and any breach of this rule may result in disqualification. Enquiries or representations to the adjudicator must go through the Committee.
