Become a certified African Drumming Facilitator with the Teacher Training Course at the African Drumming Contemporary Dance club in St Kilda. This exciting course equips participants with the necessary skills and resources to lead successful drumming sessions for people of all ages, in line with the Australian Government Schools Curriculum. Don't worry if you have no prior musical experience, as this course is suitable for everyone!
To register, simply visit the website and complete the online checkout. Once you've done that, you'll receive a confirmation and further details about the course. For organisations that prefer to pay later with an invoice, registration is also available.
The Teacher Training Course is offered at different levels and locations. If you prefer online learning, there are various dates available throughout the year. However, if you prefer a more hands-on approach, onsite courses are available in Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth. Each level of the course has specific dates and session times, so be sure to check the details.
The rates for the Teacher Training Course vary depending on the level and registration type. You can book Level 1 or Level 2 individually for $350 GST. If you're interested in both levels, you can book them together for $595 GST. Alternatively, if you'd like to fully immerse yourself in the course, you can book Level 3 alone for $595 GST or all three levels together for $1,000 GST. The choice is yours!
The Teacher Training Course is led by two experienced and passionate teachers, Brianna Slattery and Alastair Rae. Brianna has been teaching drumming to school students for five years and truly believes in the power of drumming as a community activity. Alastair, on the other hand, brings his background in training and teaching to the course and is dedicated to highlighting the cognitive and emotional benefits of drumming.
