All the sessions at Theatretrain Southampton are led by professionals in an inclusive, group-based environment. They want your child to have FUN while they learn from some of the best in the industry, immersed in an impressive and enjoyable performance programme.
The sessions take place at Oasis Academy and cover the 3 main principles of performance – acting, singing, and dancing. There are different sessions for different age groups, including Main Company sessions for ensemble songs, acting skills, and dance rehearsals for performances throughout the year. There are also Junior Minis and Junior Tinies sessions for younger performers to learn the basics of imagination and stagecraft. These sessions create a vibrant and comfortable atmosphere for everyone to learn in.
The sessions are held on Saturdays during term time from 10am-1pm. Pricing information and term dates can be found on the website.
In addition to the regular sessions, Theatretrain Southampton also organises large-scale performances, providing real performance experience for the students. These performances take place in prestigious venues like the Royal Albert Hall and West End theatres, giving students the opportunity to create lasting memories and develop their skills.
The theatre company celebrates each individual and encourages them to follow their passion. The creative team, comprised of performing arts professionals, is dedicated to making every student feel included and proud of their achievements. Auditions are not required to join Theatretrain Southampton.
