At The Base Performing Arts, we offer a range of programmes designed to cater to the needs and interests of dancers of all ages and skill levels. Our preschool programmes are specially tailored for children aged 14 months to 5 years, offering a fun and nurturing introduction to dance. With classes designed specifically for boys and girls, including toddler classes where parents can participate, we aim to create a joyful and inclusive experience for our youngest dancers.
Our after school programmes are suitable for students in prep through to senior, providing a variety of dance classes that cater to different genres and abilities. Our aim is to teach through a nurturing and positive environment, offering a supportive space for dancers to explore their passion for dance and develop their skills.
In 2023, we will be introducing our Excellence Programme, designed for dancers who are dedicated to taking their skills to the next level. This programme will offer advanced training and opportunities for growth, with the aim of preparing dancers for professional careers in the performing arts industry.
The Base Performing Arts was founded in 2019 by Creative Director Yana Dwyer, who envisioned a dance and performing arts studio that not only focused on technical excellence but also prioritised the mental and emotional well-being of students. Our unique approach to training emphasises building strong foundations and cultivating artistic integrity, allowing dancers to express themselves authentically and artistically. We believe in the power of mentorship and guidance, and our team is dedicated to equipping our students with the life skills needed to succeed both in and out of the dance studio.
