Welcome to The Bend Pilates, a light and open space located in Terrigal where you can improve your body through movement. At The Bend Pilates, our aim is to help you feel stronger, lengthened, and lighter, and to fall in love with the way Pilates makes your mind and body feel.
Led by your instructor, Crystal Thomas, who has over 20 years of experience in Pilates, you can expect knowledgeable and personalised instruction. Crystal was first introduced to Pilates for her own body and has used it throughout her life to complement her active lifestyle. As a mother of three boys, Pilates has helped her through each pregnancy and has brought her body back to optimal strength. After realising the benefits of Pilates on a greater level, Crystal wanted to share this with others and obtained a Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction through internationally recognised Polestar Pilates.
She has also worked closely with physiotherapists and has a passion for helping people improve movement patterns, find strength and flexibility after injury, and realise their full potential physically.
The Bend Pilates studio reflects its mission of creating a light, bright, and open space. With plenty of room around the equipment, you will feel comfortable and at ease during your classes. We take pride in the positive feedback we receive from our happy clients. We offer two types of classes at The Bend Pilates: Studio Equipment Classes and Matwork Classes. In Studio Equipment Classes, clients work with all apparatus including the reformer, trap table, wunda chair, and barrel. Each client receives a programme specifically designed for their body, focusing on strength, length, and balance. These classes can be done in a private one-on-one environment or in a group setting with a maximum of 3 clients.
Matwork Classes have a beautiful flow, combining strength and stretching techniques. Small apparatus such as balls, magic circles, therabands, and rollers are used in these classes. Modifications are provided for specific injuries or issues, and the classes maintain a personable approach with a maximum of 5 clients.
We offer various pricing options to suit your needs. For studio equipment classes, the pricing is as follows: an initial consult is priced at $65, private sessions are $80, and group sessions (with a maximum of 3 clients) are $38. Matwork classes (with a maximum of 5 clients) are priced at $20. We also have group packs and specials available, including a group equipment 5 pack for $175, a group equipment 10 pack for $350, a private 5 pack for $375, and an initial consult plus 3 private sessions for $275, or an initial consult plus 5 group sessions for $220.
