Welcome to The Bridge Academy, a prominent bridge club located in Edgware, New Zealand. With a rich history and a dedicated team of members, we provide a welcoming environment for bridge enthusiasts of all skill levels.
Our club meets every Tuesday and Friday at 8:00pm at the ALL SAINTS QUEENSBURY CHURCH on WALTHAM DRIVE in Edgware. We offer ample parking in the church car park, with the request to park in marked spaces only. To ensure smooth operations, we kindly ask members to adhere to parking guidelines and avoid honking when leaving.
To participate in our sessions, we encourage all members to arrive at the club at least 10 minutes before the start time and be seated promptly after picking a table. It is essential to register for each session by the specified cut-off time, which can be found on our website. Should any member require a late registration, please contact us on the Bridge Telephone or send a text message.
At The Bridge Academy, we prioritise fair play and ethical conduct. If any issues arise during a game, we strongly encourage players to call the director for assistance, rather than attempting to resolve the matter themselves. Our directors are highly knowledgeable and experienced, ensuring a smooth and fair experience for all participants.
In addition to regular club play sessions, we offer various training opportunities. We were recently fortunate to take part in a series of coffee time seminars organised by Andrew Robson in collaboration with RealBridge. Andrew Robson is an esteemed international player, renowned author, and the Bridge correspondent for The Times. These seminars provided valuable insights into different aspects of the game, and recordings can be accessed on our website.
