The Climbing Experience

Welcome to The Climbing Experience, the largest indoor climbing centre in Kent, located in Maidstone. With our 25,000 sq. ft facility, we offer a unique experience for climbers of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced climber ready to take on our hardest circuits, we have something for everyone.

Our centre features a dedicated bouldering gym, a fun wall, a wellbeing studio, and a caf. Bouldering is a form of rock climbing where you climb a set route up a specially designed wall. It's a social and accessible form of climbing, suitable for anyone over the age of 5. You climb without a rope or harness, with specially designed matting providing a soft landing in case you fall off.

All you need is a pair of climbing shoes, which you can hire from us. Join us to burn some energy, keep fit, and meet new people on the mats!

If you're new to bouldering or have no previous experience, we recommend booking an Intro to Bouldering session or a Private Taster to ensure you start off on the right foot. For non-instructed climbing, you can simply turn up and grab a day-pass. To save time, you can also fill in our online registration form beforehand.

Our Fun Walls are the perfect introduction to indoor rock climbing for all ages. We have 15 different roped climbing challenges to choose from, providing a safe environment for climbers of all skill levels to develop their abilities. If you're under the age of 12 and haven't climbed before, we recommend starting with our Fun Wall sessions before trying bouldering. Adults are also welcome to join in on the fun!

At The Climbing Experience, we value community and offer a range of group activities and events. We also host birthday parties and exclusive hire sessions for special events. So whether you're looking for a challenging workout, a social activity, or a venue for a memorable party, we've got you covered.

Located at Units G13-15 Baltic Wharf, St Peter's Street, Maidstone, Kent, our centre is easily accessible. We're open from 10am to 10pm on weekdays, 10am to 7pm on weekends and bank holidays.
