David would like to extend a warm invitation to the sports community to explore the various dance classes on offer at The Euridge School of Dancing. Here's a brief rundown of what's available:
For ages 4–5, Pre-Primary Ballet introduces children to ballet technique and vocabulary. They'll learn basic positions and movements while focusing on strength, flexibility, and coordination. Storytelling and imaginative play keep things fun and engaging, fostering a love for dance.
Primary Ballet, open to ages 6 and up, builds on this foundation. Students work on more complex movements, enhancing their musicality, artistry, posture, and technical skills.
ISTD Modern and Tap is for those aged 7 and above. This class lets students explore both modern and tap dance styles. They'll learn various steps, combinations, and routines, while honing their rhythm and coordination. There’s also the exciting chance to participate in ISTD examinations.
For those aged 9+, there’s Contemporary dance. This class blends ballet, modern, and jazz elements. Students explore creative expression through fluid movements and emotional storytelling, learning techniques like release and floor work.
Street Dance for ages 10+ offers a high-energy experience originating from hip-hop culture. Students learn techniques like popping, locking, and breaking, and get to perform choreography to popular music.
Lastly, Acrobatic Arts for ages 7+ combines dance with acrobatic elements like contortion and tumbling. The focus is on developing strength, flexibility, and balance. Students can participate in Acrobatic Arts examinations and showcase their skills in festivals.
David and the team at Euridge believe that dance is more than just physical exercise; it's a way for children to express themselves and grow personally. They aim to provide a supportive environment where children can explore their passion, develop their skills, and build confidence. Whether aiming for a dance career or just dancing for fun, David hopes to inspire and empower each student to reach their full potential.
