Daryl McNally invites the sports community to The House of Budo Combat & Fitness, a martial arts school nestled in Dundee, Scotland. Catering to anyone over the age of 12, whether a beginner or with prior experience, the classes are designed to be inclusive and safe.
Classes focus on Kyokushin and K-1 Kickboxing, with top-notch coaching to help everyone reach their potential. Instructors at The House of Budo are not only experienced but also dedicated to student progress. They ensure each class is both enjoyable and challenging.
The primary focus at The House of Budo is on developing basic techniques in realistic self-defence and sports competition. The classes also aim to improve fitness, conditioning, flexibility, and mental strength, through sparring and Zen meditation when appropriate.
Since its foundation in January 2023 by Daryl McNally, Craig Wilton, and Derek Patterson, The House of Budo has drawn on a wealth of martial arts experience. The founders, who have trained together extensively and represented Scotland on the international stage, bring a strong foundation to the club.
The club offers comprehensive training in Kyokushin, K-1 Kickboxing, and general fighting as part of a healthy lifestyle. The regular training sessions not only boost physical fitness but also enhance mental strength, discipline, social skills, personal growth, confidence, and self-defence capabilities.
Daryl McNally believes in teaching martial arts in a fun, educational, and safe manner, allowing individuals to progress at their own pace within a supportive environment. Besides weekly training, the club organises seminars, training camps, competitions, extra sessions, and social events like summer BBQs, Christmas Award parties, and fundraising events to foster community spirit.
Everyone is encouraged to join The House of Budo Combat & Fitness and start their martial arts journey. The first class is free, and beginners are always welcome. Training times are Monday 19:45-20:45 for Kyokushin Karate, Wednesday 19:00 onwards for K-1 Kickboxing, and Friday 19:45 for Open Mat/Sparring. The sessions are held at Lochee Boy’s Club, 1 Wellbank Lane, Dundee.
Daryl McNally invites all to experience the transformative benefits of martial arts. Visit The House of Budo’s website to start your journey today.
