Jamie has organised the creation of a unique space in Edinburgh called The Island, which combines a tattoo shop and yoga studio. The name signifies the vision: a peaceful and serene environment, akin to an island surrounded by nature.

The Island has been thoughtfully designed to integrate elements from the natural world, offering abundant sunlight, natural sounds, and scents reminiscent of the great outdoors. The use of natural materials helps enhance the connection to nature, creating a calming atmosphere for clients, allowing them to experience tattooing in a tranquil setting and to reconnect with themselves.

Currently, the studio occasionally hosts “Tattoo & Sound Evenings”, combining tattoo sessions with relaxing sound baths.

For those who've just received a tattoo, The Island provides comprehensive aftercare instructions. Clients should keep the plastic film on the tattoo for at least 24 hours, up to three days. Once the film is removed, the area should be gently washed with lukewarm water, avoiding soap on the first wash. Moisturising the tattooed skin with natural products such as Hustle Butter, Ink Balm, or coconut butter is recommended to nourish and protect the skin. A thin layer of aftercare product will keep the tattoo clean while allowing it to breathe and heal properly.
