Our club offers a range of martial arts disciplines, including Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Judo. BJJ, a combat sport focused on ground combat, wrestling, and grappling, is ideal for enhancing both the body and the mind. With classes available for all age groups, BJJ provides numerous benefits for personal growth and self-defence skills.
Judo, meaning “gentle way” in Japanese, is a modern martial art and combat sport that emphasises the harmony between mind and body. Participants utilise techniques such as throws, grappling pins, chokes, and armlocks to overcome opponents. Judo is renowned for its mental and physical development aspects, making it an excellent choice for practitioners of all levels.
We also offer a unique Ladies Only session led by female instructors. This class is designed to empower women, build confidence, and enhance self-preservation skills through the practise of BJJ and Judo in a safe and fun-filled environment.
In addition to our martial arts disciplines, we offer Vinyasa or flow yoga classes. Vinyasa is a dynamic and fluid style of yoga that helps to build a solid foundation for a more advanced yoga practise. Participants will learn graceful movements and soothing breathing techniques in a class suitable for all ages.
At The Jiu-Jitsu Studio Darwin, we take pride in our world champion instructors who are passionate about guiding and developing our members' skills. We regularly organise clubhouse competitions to provide our members with the opportunity to test their abilities and showcase their progress.
Our class schedule accommodates various needs and preferences, ensuring that everyone can find a suitable training time. We are open Monday to Friday from 5:30 am to 7 am and 9 am to 11 am, and from 4 pm to 8 pm. On Saturdays, we offer classes from 7 am to 8:30 am. Please note that we are closed on Sundays and public holidays.
