It is a mindset and a way of life. Through my own practise, I have learned to cultivate mindfulness, find inner peace, and embrace self-growth. I strive to share these experiences with my students and guide them on their own yoga journey.
In my classes at The Little Yoga Place, I emphasise the importance of balance, both physically and mentally. Yoga is not about being able to achieve the most advanced poses; it is about finding harmony in all aspects of life. Through the practise of breath control (pranayama), we learn to calm the mind and create inner balance, cultivating a sense of ease and well-being.
Strength is another fundamental aspect of my teaching. It is essential for supporting proper alignment and posture, as well as promoting physical and emotional well-being. By developing strength in our bodies, we also strengthen our minds, fostering a mind-body connexion that allows us to feel empowered in our movements.
Creating a welcoming and safe environment is of utmost importance to me. I want to ensure that everyone who walks through the doors of The Little Yoga Place feels comfortable and supported. Whether you are brand new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, my classes are designed to meet you where you are, allowing you to explore your practise at your own pace.
My teaching approach is rooted in anatomical, physiological, and philosophical foundations. I believe in the power of understanding how our bodies move and function, as well as the principles of yoga that guide us towards a life of wisdom and self-realisation. Safety is always a priority, and I provide cues and guidance throughout your practise to help you connect with your body and move mindfully.
Above all else, yoga is a practise of self-compassion. Each individual is unique, and we all face our own challenges on and off the mat. I strive to create a space where you can embrace your practise with kindness and patience, allowing yourself the opportunity to grow and transform at your own pace.
Breath is a key element in my teaching. I have extensively studied breathing practises and their transformative effects. Sharing these discoveries brings me great joy. Breath is not only the foundation of our physical practise but also a valuable tool for living a balanced and fulfilled life.
Through the science of pranayama, we can tap into the power of the breath and unlock its potential for personal growth and transformation.
Yoga is more than just a class or a physical activity for me. It is a way of life, a mindset, and a tool for personal growth.
