Mechanic.
Travis Ewan, known as The Massage Mechanic, is a highly skilled and experienced sports massage therapist and yoga instructor based in Laurieton, Australia. With a passion for resolving soft tissue, joint, and stress issues, he offers a range of treatments including manual therapies, dry needling, massage, and yoga stretches. Travis takes a personalised approach to each client, tailoring the treatment to meet their specific needs and goals.
Travis's journey towards becoming The Massage Mechanic began in his early years, growing up in a lineage of Martial Arts and working in an old school butcher shop. Eventually, he pursued a career as an Industrial Automation Electrical Fitter Mechanic. However, after facing his own injury, he discovered a greater purpose in life and was offered an apprenticeship in Sports Remedial Massage in 2005.
Over the next 11 years, Travis gained invaluable experience from various teachers and underwent extensive hands-on training during a nomadic era. This led to the birth of The Massage Mechanic in 2016. Taking a period of grounding and collaboration to practise all experiences, Travis's learning never ceased. He continually upskills himself each year, putting his newfound knowledge into practise.
The Massage Mechanic offers a range of specialised treatments to address various musculoskeletal issues. Remedial manual therapy is designed to break the pain cycle, reduce muscle tension, and joint stiffness. It also works to reset muscle resting lengths, realign posture, release trigger points, and reduce scar tissue. Travis is skilled in orthopaedic testing and can identify muscle imbalances to provide targeted treatment.
Additionally, Travis offers dry needling, a technique that helps relieve trigger points, scar tissue, muscle hypertension and spasms, compartment syndrome, sinus blockages, peripheral pain, arthritis pain, and more. Hawaiian body work is also available for those looking to bliss out and destress with a free-flowing massage that will transport them to a place of pure relaxation.
Travis is also proficient in Finch Therapy, a non-invasive treatment that aims to reduce joint stiffness, leg length differences, thoracic rotation limitations, hip rotations, headaches, and neck stiffness. He employs clinical stretching and strengthening techniques, as well as corrective exercises and simple stretches with extra tweaks to maximise each client's outcome. Additionally, he offers clearing access bars to help individuals clear their brain, thoughts, and emotions by unblocking the electromagnetic energy in their brain's cortex.
Travis prides himself on his personalised approach to each treatment, ensuring that the needs of his clients always come first. He is dedicated to helping his clients achieve optimal musculoskeletal health and wellbeing. With HICAPS and Eftpos available, he strives to make the booking and payment process as seamless as possible.
