Pilates, a gentle system of stretching and strengthening exercises, offers numerous benefits for both body and mind. The Body Control Pilates method, followed at The Pilates Experience, is suitable for all levels of fitness and has been highly recommended by medical professionals. It is particularly helpful in achieving a longer, leaner, stronger, and more flexible body.
The foundation of all Body Control Pilates exercises is built upon eight key principles: relaxation, breathing, concentration, alignment, flowing movements, coordination, centring, and stamina. By targeting the deep core structures of the body, Pilates exercises strengthen from the “inside out” and improve core stability in relation to the body as a whole. The slow and controlled approach of Body Control Pilates ensures long-lasting results.
This method is recommended by medical practitioners for various conditions, including chronic back pain, posture improvement, women's health, pregnancy and postnatal care, stress-related illnesses, sports injuries, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, repetitive strain injuries, hypertension, and more.
Benefits of practising Pilates include muscle strengthening and toning, improved posture, a longer and leaner body, increased flexibility and balance, enhanced coordination, pain relief, boosted immune system, and reduced stress.
