Dave successfully ran the swim school for 15 years before passing the baton to his successor, Sammy, who now oversees the day-to-day operations. Despite the change in leadership, Dave remains an integral part of the school, often found on poolside offering his wisdom and expertise.

The Swim School prides itself on combining modern teaching practises with traditional family values. The team is confident and passionate about their approach to teaching, aiming to instil a love for swimming in every child they teach. They believe that swimming is a valuable life skill, and they are dedicated to sharing this skill with their students.

The Swim School follows the Swim England National Plan as the foundation for their teaching. They have developed a scheme of work that focuses on swimming technique while also incorporating fun and free development sessions for students to practise their skills. At the end of each 10-week course, every child is rewarded with a certificate for their hard work and achievements.

The Swim School primarily operates in Hornchurch, with a training pool for beginners to improvers and a larger teaching pool for intermediate and advanced swimmers. This setup ensures that each stage of the learning process is catered to, allowing students to progress from beginner to pre-competition standard in a safe and comfortable environment. In addition, The Swim School also has access to an additional pool in South Ockendon, providing more options for families with siblings of various ages and abilities.
