The Thrifty Foods Kids Run is a fantastic opportunity for children aged 12 and under to get active and have fun. The event will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 8:00 am at Willows Park in Oak Bay. Parents are welcome to join in the fun with their child at no extra cost. The route along the Esplanade offers a picturesque setting for the 1 km run, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all participants.
Supporting KidSport Greater Victoria, a local organisation dedicated to providing sports opportunities for children and youth, a portion of the event's proceeds will go towards this worthy cause. By participating, not only will you get active, but you will also be helping more children in the community access organized sports.
Whether you register as an individual or as part of your school's team, exciting prizes await for the largest school team and individual fundraisers. Registration packages can be picked up at the Race Expo on Friday, Oct. 11 at the Victoria Conference Centre, Crystal Gardens, or on the day of the event at Willows Beach Park. To avoid any last-minute rush, it's recommended to pick up your packages early.
Don't forget that registration closes at 3:00 pm on Oct. 11, and no on-the-day registrations will be accepted. Secure your spot in this wonderful event today and be a part of a fun-filled day of activities!
