The Chief Instructor of TISKA Karate Borehamwood & Elstree is Gursharan Sahota, an 8th Dan black belt in Shotokan Karate. Born in Kenya and raised in the UK, Gursharan's passion for karate took hold at a young age. He has competed in numerous kata and kumite events at national and international levels, and his career was significantly influenced by his training experience in Japan with Sensei Hirokazu Kanazawa.
Gursharan Sahota opened his first club in Luton/Dunstable in 1981, and later formed his own association, TISKA, in 1993. TISKA is now one of the largest karate associations in the UK. Gursharan Sahota continues to teach over 35 classes a week in the UK and conducts master classes internationally. His dedication and love for the art of karate are evident in the hundreds of students he has brought to black belt standard and beyond.
TISKA Karate Borehamwood & Elstree welcomes members from all backgrounds and experiences. The club offers classes for beginners, providing an opportunity to develop balance, coordination, self-confidence, and discipline.
