Tongala Swimming Pool

Tongala Swimming Pool is a popular outdoor swimming pool located in Tongala, Victoria. The pool is part of the Aquatics & Leisure Services offered by the local council. It provides a refreshing and enjoyable experience for residents and visitors of all ages.

The pool opens for the season on Saturday, 25 November and operates according to temperature-dependent guidelines set by the Bureau of Meteorology. For the 2023/24 season, entry to Tongala Swimming Pool is free for all patrons. No fees are charged for access to the pool. A seasonal membership will also be available soon for those who wish to have extended access and benefits throughout the season.

The pool operates on specific timings depending on the time of year. During school term, it is open on weekdays from 4 pm to 8 pm and on weekends from 1 pm to 8 pm. On school holidays, the pool opens from 1 pm to 8 pm every day. The Kyabram pool, another nearby outdoor pool, offers early morning openings on weekdays from 6:30 am to 8 am.

Tongala Swimming Pool, along with other outdoor pools, is closed on Christmas Day. Its closing time may vary based on attendance and group bookings. In case of low attendance or lack of group bookings for more than 1 hour, the pool may close early.

Please note that while the Tongala Swimming Pool is currently open, the Echuca War Memorial Aquatic Centre is closed for painting and maintenance works from December 17th to January 22nd. However, during this period, residents and members are encouraged to utilise Tongala Swimming Pool and other outdoor pools in the shire, which are all offering free entry this summer.
