Topaz Dance School

Paul and Joanne Hague of Topaz Dance School in Shrewsbury wanted to share some exciting news about their dance school with the community. They've poured their passion into creating a welcoming environment for dancers of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced dancers.

Paul and Joanne's Topaz Dance School offers a variety of classes, both group and private, to suit everyone’s schedule. Private lessons are particularly ideal for special event preparation, like a wedding first dance, or for those with irregular work hours.

With a lively social calendar, Topaz Dance School hosts practise nights, social dances, balls, and dance trips. They specialise in ‘Strictly style’ Ballroom and Latin American dance, and they're also planning to introduce Salsa, Argentine Tango, and Rock'n'roll classes soon.

Topaz Dance School’s team of specialist teachers run additional classes in Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Street & Hip Hop, Cheerdance, along with Ballroom and Latin. These sessions cater to young dancers from age 3 upwards. The teachers are qualified, experienced, and bring lots of energy to their classes.

The school features a spacious 3200 square foot dance floor, designed to mirror a traditional ballroom, adding to the elegance of the dancing experience. They believe that dancing is not only fun but also great for health, improving memory, coordination, and confidence.

Paul and Joanne have both been dancing since childhood and have a rich history of championship titles and appearances on TV shows. They've even taught on P & O cruises, sharing their love for dance around the world.

Topaz Dance School offers beginner classes in Strictly Ballroom and Latin dancing every Monday from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The cost is £40 per person for a 4-week block, with discounts for additional classes.
