About
Join Maldon Golf Club for the Traditional Hickory Golf Club Maker Annual Tournament happening from 31st August to 2nd September. This event is a truly unique experience where players get to use handmade wooden clubs crafted by Ross Baker, a skilled artisan dedicated to preserving Australia's golf history. Each club is meticulously made by hand using traditional techniques from the 1800s, making them stand out with their individual wood grain, head shape, and weight.
The tournament includes a range of events such as the 4BBB on 31st August, Ambrose on 1st September, and the 18 Hole stroke on 2nd September, segmented into A, B, and C grade categories. Players will also have the chance to compete for the prestigious Walter J Travis Schenectady Trophy, a unique prize crafted by Ross in honor of the 1904 US Amateur championship putter used by Walter Travis.
