Traralgon Bridge Club is a thriving and welcoming community of bridge enthusiasts located in Traralgon, Australia. The club offers a friendly and inclusive atmosphere for players of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned competitors.
The club's spacious and modern premises, located at the Traralgon Masonic Function Room on Oswald Street, provide the perfect setting for enjoyable and challenging bridge sessions. The venue is easily accessible and conveniently located in the heart of Traralgon.
Traralgon Bridge Club hosts regular bridge sessions throughout the week. On Mondays, sessions commence at 19:15, except the second Monday of most months. Tuesdays and Thursdays see sessions starting at 13:00. Players are encouraged to arrive at the clubroom 15 minutes prior to the start of the session.
Mobile phone usage during play is strictly prohibited, ensuring a distraction-free environment for all participants. However, if players are expecting an urgent call, they are kindly requested to inform the Director before play begins.
The club has a rich history of competitive success, with various annual championships held to recognise outstanding performances. Winners of these championships have the opportunity to showcase their skills and represent the club at regional and national competitions.
In addition to regular bridge sessions, Traralgon Bridge Club also organises a range of special events and competitions throughout the year. These events provide an opportunity for members to socialise, network with fellow bridge enthusiasts, and test their skills against skilled opponents.
Membership at Traralgon Bridge Club is open to individuals of all ages and skill levels. Annual membership fees are priced at $30 for home club members and $20 for non-home club members. Fees can be paid at any bridge session, either in cash or via online payment using the club's provided bank details. Receipts will be issued upon payment processing by the Treasurer.
The club prides itself on promoting good bridge etiquette and sportsmanship among its members. Players are encouraged to greet their opponents, acknowledge good play from both partners and opponents, and refrain from criticising or making unnecessary comments. Speaking respectfully to partners, opponents, and the Director is of utmost importance.
