Treharris Kids Football

Treharris Kids Football, also known as Treharris Athletic Western Mini and Junior FC, is the oldest football club in South Wales, established in 1996 by Joey Clyne and Neil Sellick. Over the past 25 years, the club has grown significantly, and it now boasts teams ranging from Under 6s to Under 16s. Treharris Kids Football is proud to offer a clear pathway for young players, starting from mini football, progressing to junior football, and eventually transitioning to senior football in the Ardal League (formerly known as the Welsh League).

At Treharris Kids Football, their mission is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment that reflects the values of the Football Association of Wales' 'More Than a Game Strategy,' which includes excellence, family, and respect. They are committed to creating a positive learning structure where the coaching staff works together to develop players who give their best effort and demonstrate a positive attitude, respect for one another, and a lifelong passion for football.

They firmly believe that hard work can surpass natural talent when talent alone doesn't put in the necessary effort. The club has a range of mini and junior teams for different age groups. The mini teams include Under 6s, Under 7s, Under 8s, Under 8s Girls, Under 9s, Under 9s Girls, Under 10s, and Under 10s Girls. Each team has a brand sponsor and varying availability for new players. The junior teams comprise Under 12s Girls, Under 12s, Under 13s, Under 14s, Under 15s, and Under 16s.
