Trekkers Walking Group

The Trekkers Walking Group is a sports club located in the Conargo Shire Council in Australia. This walking group aims to create connexions within the community while promoting a healthier heart through regular walking activities.

Walking for an average of 30 minutes a day has been proven to lower the risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes by 30 to 40 percent. In addition, walking regularly helps manage weight, blood pressure, and cholesterol. It also reduces the risk of developing certain cancers, maintains bone density, and improves balance and coordination.

The Trekkers Walking Group is supported by the National Heart Foundation of Australia and follows their structured and supportive walking programme.
